Iran, one of the largest exporter to billet has exported around 2,998,184 MT of billet during the first 10 months of current Persian year. As per the data released by Iran customs, the nation has exported 371,837 MT billet during the 10th month, registered a growth of 45% M-o-M against 255,665 MT exported in 9th month.
Thailand was the major importer of Iranian billet, Iran exported around 841,000 MT to Thailand during the 10 months. Standalone during the 10th month Iran exported 136,525 MT billet to Thailand by registering a growth of 83% M-o-M against 74,702 MT imported during the 9th month.
Indonesia was the second largest importer of billet, Iran exported around 446,000 MT to Indonesia during the period by registering the growth of 80% M-o-M against 30,000 MT imported in last year. Other major importers includes UAE (351,664 MT), Italy (288,258 MT), Egypt (237,212) and Taiwan (235,761 MT).

Iranian Slab Export to UAE Increased by 28%
Iran, a major slab exporter in MENA has exported 2,412,813 MT during the 10 months of current Persian year. The nation witnessed an increase of 188% M-o-M. The nation exported 381,691 MT during the 10th month of current Persian year.
UAE was the major importer of Iranian slab, Iran exported 761,692 MT slab to UAW during the period. Standalone on 10th month, Iran exported 99,336 MT slab to UAE by registering a growth of 28% M-o-M. Another major importers were Thailand (567,210 MT), Oman (368,542 MT) and Egypt (204,086 MT).

Oman – The Largest Iranian DRI Buyer
Iran one of the largest exporter of DRI has exported around 587,000 MT during the first 10 months of current Persian year (21 Mar’17-20 Jan’18).Oman is the largest importer of Iranian DRI. Iran exported around 307,368 MT DRI to Oman in 10 months of current Persian year. Another major importers includes Kuwait (123,172 MT), India (94,948 MT), China (34,974 MT) and Spain (12,000 MT).
