An Iranian steel mill has concluded an export deal for 30,000 t of billets at $554/t FOB for Mar’23 shipment. Prices have corrected downwards by $6/t against the last deal. However, export allocations are limited currently owing to fluctuations in the exchange rates. Iran’s billets and blooms exports increased by 11% y-o-y to 4.36 mnt in the Mar’22-Jan’23 period.
