Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has recently inaugurated the country’s largest iron ore pellet plant in the central province of Yazd. According to media reports, the 5 mn t/per annum Sechahun pellet plant will source iron ore from a nearby mine. Iran’s pellet output totalled 38.51 mn t during the 10 months of the current fiscal year, registering 12% y-o-y growth, as per state-owned mining company IMIDRO.
