Iran: Mobarakeh Remains Largest Steel Producer in First Eight Months of Persian Year

Mobarakeh Steel Company booked the dominant spot in Iran’s largest steel producing companies list in this Persian year. The company recorded output (consisting of semi finished and finished steel) of 11.9 MnT in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21).

The company produced 5.62 MnT of finished steel during the period, posting no change compared with last year’s corresponding period.

Meanwhile, company’s semi finished steel production was recorded at 6.28 MnT, registering a 1% Y-o-Y decline, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization’s latest report shows.

In terms of finished steel production, Esfahan Steel Company registered itself as a second largest producer during the same period under consideration. The company’s finished steel production was recorded at 1.51 MnT (up 7% Y-o-Y). While, Oxin Steel Company with 525,432 MT (up 21% Y-o-Y) booked the third sport in the list.
