Iran: Finished steel consumption drops by 8% y-o-y in H1 of Persian year

Iran’s finished steel consumption fell by 8% y-o-y to 9.60 mnt in the first half of the current Persian year (21 Mar-20 Sep’24), according to the latest data released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA). Consumption of flat steel increased by 6% y-o-y to 5.35 mnt, while that of long steel dropped by 21% y-o-y to 4.03 mnt.
