ESCO-Esfahan Steel Company; one of the country’s leading steel exporters has recorded a 30% Y-o-Y growth in steel exports during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21). The company’s exports were recorded at 877,000 MT during the period under consideration. By the end of the current fiscal year (March 19, 2020), the company is expecting to touch the 1.2 MnT export mark. The company registered itself as the third largest steel exporter and second largest producer.
Meanwhile, the company’s crude steel production was recorded at 1.77 MnT to register a Y-o-Y growth of 4.73%.
However, the Iran’s biggest steel exporter tag is with Khouzestan Steel Company. The company’s steel exports were recorded at 1.26 MnT during the first eight months of current Persian year. Although, the company experienced a Y-o-Y decline of 17% in exports.
Mobarakeh Steel Company secured the second spot in the top steel exporting companies list. The company’s exports were recorded at 1 MnT to book a Y-o-Y growth of 36% during the period under consideration. However, the company labeled itself as the largest steel producer of the country.
