Iran: Domestic billets, rebar prices fall after steel export tariffs announcement

Iran’s domestic billets and rebar prices fell sharply post the announcement of export tariffs on various products, including steel on 11 Apr’22 by the Iranian Deputy Minister of Mines and Materials, sources informed SteelMint.

• Steel billets prices fell sharply by 1,500 Rial/Kg to 161,000 Rial/Kg as against the closing on 11 Apr’22.
• Rebar prices stood at 177,500 Rial/Kg on 13 April, a sharp fall of 1,500 Rial/Kg.
