Iran: Domestic billet, rebar prices uptrend continues amid DRI supply concerns

Iran’s domestic billets and rebars prices continue to rise on sharp decrease in direct reduced iron (DRI) production and reduction in gas supply due to cold weather in the region, sources informed SteelMint.

• Steel billets prices rose by 2,000 Rial/Kg to 142,500 Rial/Kg as against 5 Dec’22.
• Rebars prices stood at 168,500 Rial/Kg on 7 Dec, an increase of 1,500 Rial/Kg.
