Iran: Domestic billet, rebar prices surge on higher export prices

Steel billet prices rose on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) following an uptick in Iran’s billet export prices. As a result, domestic billet and rebar prices witnessed an upsurge, sources informed SteelMint.

• Billet prices rose sharply by 2,000 Rial/Kg to 143,000 Rial/Kg compared to 9 Feb’22.
• Rebar prices stood at 158,000 Rial/Kg on 14 Feb, an increase of 1,000 Rial/Kg.
