Iran’s bulk billet export shipments witnessed a rise of 30% m-o-m in Dec ’20 to reach 0.48 mn t. China, Indonesia, UAE, and Sudan stood as the predominant buyers of the Iranian billets. The sharp rise in shipments was due to the increased buying from China, UAE, and African nations. During the Jan-Nov ’20, Iran produced over 18 mn t of billets and exported over four mn t.
