Iran one of the largest exporter of semi-finished steel in world has exported around 875,000 MT of billet and bloom during the first 2 months of current Persian year (21 Mar’18-21 May’18), registered a growth of 91% Y-o-Y against 457,000 MT in last Persian year.
Major exporters of billet and bloom during the period were Khuzestan Steel Company which exported around 148,527 MT bloom and 132,981 MT billet during the period. South Kaveh Steel was the second largest exporter of billet during the period, the company exported around 154,000 MT.
Slab: Export of Slab Shrinks by 46% Y-o-Y
Iranian slab export witnessed a downfall of 46% Y-o-Y. The nation exported 339,000 MT in current Persian year against 627,000 MT exported in previous year. KSC was the largest exporter of Slab during the period, the company exported 209,774 MT during the period. Other major exporters during the period were MSC (130,976 MT) and HOSCO (115,628 MT).
DRI: Export of DRI Shrivels by 39% Y-o-Y
DRI export decreased remarkably by 39% Y-o-Y, the nation exported 99,000 MT DRI in current Persian year against 161,000 MT exported in last Persian year. South Kaveh Steel was one of the major exporter of DRI during the period. The company exported 30,000 MT in current Persian year.
