Iran: Billet export prices hit a record-high level in a recent deal

In a recently concluded billet export deal for China, the Iranian billet export prices hit an all-time high level. The deal was concluded by Iran’s leading steel exporter Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company. The company sold 30,000 t billets to China at $570/t, FoB through a tender for May ’21 shipments, sources reported to SteelMint. During the first eleven months of the previous Iranian year (20 Mar ’20 – 20 Feb ’21) the company exported around 543,004 t billets.
