Iran Billet Export Decreases by 18% M-o-M

As per vessel line up data maintained by SteelMint, Iran exported around 217,000 MT billet in the 7th month of Persian Year (23 Sep-22 Oct’17). Export was down by 18% M-o-M against 264,500 MT billet exported in the 6th month of Persian year (23 Aug-22 Sep’17).
Major reason for decline in the export can possibly be because of limited trade happening in China as China was closed from 1-9 Oct’17. Also the domestic billet market of Iran was very volatile because of which market witnessed price fluctuation in mid of the month.
