The Founding General Assembly of the Alloy Steel Makers Association of Iran (ASMA) was recently held at the Espinas Palace Hotel in Tehran, with full participation from all association members and representatives of the Iranian government. During the meeting, the association’s statute was ratified, and its board of directors was elected, marking the official commencement of ASMA’s activities.
Representing a vital segment of Iran’s steel industry, ASMA is dedicated to advancing the production of high-value-added alloy steels and other technologically advanced steel products.
Iran’s annual alloy steel production is currently estimated at 1.5 million tonnes (mnt), with output in the alloy and special steels segment witnessing rapid growth.
