Iran: Apparent steel consumption registers 18% y-o-y growth

The apparent steel consumption in Iran registered an 18% y-o-y growth during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (20 Mar-20 Nov ’20) to touch the 13 mn t mark. However, in Nov ’20, the demand for long steel sections in the commodity exchange fell sharply, which retarded the apparent usage growth rate.
