Ingot at Mandi Gobindgarh trades at Rs 36,300/MT (Basic price), up by Rs 100/MT.
Rourkela Ingot prices which had not corrected for last two to three days have slipped by Rs 500/MT at 32,400/MT (Basic price).
According to market players, trading volumes in finished steel is low on account of which Ingot demand is not encouraging. Production of Ingot is also less on weak demand.
NCDEX Steel Long May 2012 contract opened at Rs 34,200/MT, moved towards the day high at Rs 34,380/MT and touched a low at Rs 34,200/MT. At 6:35 pm it is trading at Rs 34,300/MT.
