“Demand of Pig Iron is good this week.
Though, festive season is ahead, offers are stable on decent
sales”, shared a marketing manager at a major foundry grade Pig Iron plant in Durgapur.
Mr Navin Choudhary, Senior GM, Marketing at Adhunik Metaliks Ltd told that around 6,000 tons of
steel grade was sold in September and bookings are closed due to production cut this week. By the mid of October, prices might move up on better buying.
“Sales of around 16,000 tons in August reduced to 12,000 tons in September. Our production is on hold for this week on maintenance reasons”, said a Pig Iron manufacturer at Giridih.
