Manufacturers in Goa, India reported SteelMint about industrial power tariff in the state of Goa.
“Government has hiked industrial power tariff by 80 paise to around Rs 4.30 per unit w.e.f 1st June. This may increase cost of production by around Rs 600/MT for induction furnaces.
Demand for finished steel products has shown no signs of improvement and it may take sometime when demand might pick up as construction in the country remains weak owing to poor demand and liquidity issues” said manufacturers from the state.
