Indonesian thermal coal prices of different grades registered a further rise of $4/t w-o-w amid tight supply within the country and as miners focused on clearing order backlogs. Import inquiries also picked up from Europe due to LNG shortage from Russia. Prices for 5000 GAR were at $116/t, and those for 6500 GAR were at $171/t, FOB. Prices for 4200 GAR and 5800 GAR rose over $4/t w-o-w, as per CoalMint’s assessment.
