Indonesian thermal coal prices edge lower amid weak inquiries from China

Indonesian mid-CV 5800 kcal/kg NAR grade thermal coal prices fell sharply by $7/t w-o-w as demand from top buyer China remained under pressure due to rising availability of Russian coal. High-CV 6500 kcal/kg NAR grade coal prices edged lower with weak shipments to Europe as against expectations. Procurement from India, however, remained steady.
