The benchmark price for Thermal Coal in Indonesia has risen by 9.5% to USD 63.93/MT FoB in Sep’16 from that in Aug’16, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia.
The Sep’16 benchmark also is higher by 9.8% than that in the corresponding month of the last year, at USD 58.21/MT FoB.

The rise in the benchmark prices is triggered by the strong demand emanating from China, where, supply has become tight on account of that government trimming domestic production to curb over-supply.
