The Reference Thermal Coal Price of Indonesia, a price index set by the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry of Indonesia, gained by 1.3% in Jun’16 over that for May’16.
The price index for Jun’16 went up to USD 51.81/MT FoB from USD 51.20/MT FoB in May’16.
The rise in the index could be attributed to suppliers in the country cutting production in view of prices getting lower due to supply exceeding demand.
