Indonesian miner acquires coking coal assets in Queensland for $380 million

Dian Swastatika Santosa, an Indonesia mining company, has acquired the remaining 20% stake in Stanmore SMC from Japanese trading house Mitsui for $380 million. It had purchased 80% stake from BHP in May’22. The company now owns metallurgical coal assets in Queensland having production capacity of 10 mnt per annum and total coal reserves of 171 mnt.
