Indonesian high-CV thermal coal prices easing gradually

Indonesian high-CV thermal coal prices fell $5/t this week in line with declining prices of other export origins. Buyers in Europe and Japan were seen booking South African and Australian shipments. Mid- to low-CV Indonesian coal prices, however, were largely stable with firm inquiries from India. With easing lockdown restrictions in China and elevated domestic coal prices, traders expect a gradual increase in inquiries in the coming week.
