Tsingshan Group and POSCO plan to jointly build a 2-mnt stainless steel plant in Indonesia’s Morowali Industrial Park, Sulawesi. Following Tsingshan’s acquisition of POSCO Zhangjiagang Stainless Steel in Jul’25, this move marks POSCO’s shift from China to Indonesia. The plant’s capacity equals South Korea’s total annual stainless steel output, with construction expected to begin as early as next year.
