The Indonesian thermal coal index for nearly all grades rallied further this week, increasing by $6-19/t. Chinese traders turned to restocking ahead of the Golden Week holidays, while heavy rains kept shipments from Indonesian tight. High-CV 6500 GAR coal prices rose by $19/t, w-o-w, to $179/t FOB, while prices of 5800 and 5000 GAR coals increased over $15/t, while 4200 GAR rose by $17/t.
