- Indonesia’s steel billets imports rose significantly by 25.32% m-o-m in March 2022 to 0.39 mnt from 0.31 mnt in February 2022, as per data recently released by customs.
- Oman was the largest exporter with 0.24 mnt, followed by Russia with 0.10 mnt.
- However, import volumes fell marginally by 10% y-o-y to 0.90 mnt in January-March 2022 as against 1 mnt last year.
