Indonesia: Steel billet imports slump 40%, m-o-m, in Jul’22

Indonesia’s steel billet imports fell by 40.14% m-o-m to 206,669 t in Jul’22 against 345,272 t in Jun’22, as per customs data.
Oman was the largest exporter with 124,615 t followed by India with 51,965 t.
However, import volumes remained stable y-o-y at 1.92 mnt in Jan-Jul’22 as against the same period last year.
