Indonesia: State power utility asks govt to extend coal ban for 10 days

Indonesia’s state power utility, Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), has requested to extend the country’s coal export ban for at least 10 more days to shore up stockpiles at power plants. The government aims to build coal stocks for at least 15 days. Indonesia’s trade ministry, on the other hand, is likely to evaluate ways of resuming exports, following rising concerns in Japan and South Korea regarding the ban.
