Indonesia: Stainless steel imports largely stable y-o-y in CY’22

Indonesia’s stainless steel imports were mostly stable y-o-y at 226,234 t in CY’22 compared to 225,930 t in CY’21, as per customs data.
China continued to be the largest exporter with 105,484 t followed by Japan and India with 53,934 t and 22,045 t respectively.
Total stainless steel import volumes by the country were recorded at 15,646 t in Dec’22, up 4% m-o-m compared to 14,987 t in Nov’22.
