Indonesia: PLN aims to withdraw from coal-fired power plants before schedule

PLN is aiming to withdraw from coal-fired power plants ahead of schedule in a bid to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060. The firm is set to retire 10,000 megawatts of coal-fired power plants and is in talks with the US and European investors to accelerate the exit from coal power. It has an installed capacity of 63,300 megawatts, of which 50% is coal-fired power generation capacity.
