Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports up by 18% m-o-m in May

Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports reached 1,08,806 t in May’22, witnessing a rise of 18% m-o-m from 92,039 t in Apr’22.
Hong Kong continued to be the top supplier with 36,045 t, followed by Australia and Singapore, with 33,119 t and 19,548 t, respectively.
Similarly, on a y-o-y basis, imports jumped by a mammoth 59% compared to 68,474 t in May’21.
