Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports rise sharply m-o-m in Jul’24

In Jul’24, Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports reached 92,737 t, a 78% increase m-o-m from 52,056 t in Jun’24.
Imports rose by 6% y-o-y from 87,525 t in July 2023.
During 7M CY’24, total scrap imports were 0.51 mnt, a 15% decrease from 0.6 mnt in the CPLY.
Australia was the top exporter to Indonesia with 24,611 t, followed by Hong Kong with 24,359 t and Singapore with 21,814 t.
