Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports rise over 20% m-o-m in August

Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 120,160 t in Aug’22, witnessing a rise of 22% m-o-m from 98,688 t in Jul.
The United Kingdom was the largest exporter at 38,626 t followed by Australia and Hong Kong at 33,270 t and 18,545t, respectively.
In contrast, on a y-o-y basis, imports declined by 19% compared to 147,440 t in Aug’21.
