Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports drop 43% in H1 CY ’20

Indonesia imported 592,070 t ferrous scrap in the first half of CY’20, a decrease of approximately 43% as compared to 1.04 mn t during Jan-Jun’19 due to limited buying. Hong Kong remained the largest exporter at 111,239 t followed by Australia at 86,055 t and Singapore at 85,470 t. Imports in Jun’20 declined by 11% to 59,070 t against 66,453 t in May’20.
