Indonesia, one of the world’s leading billet exporters, witnessed a sharp hike in volumes on surging export shipments to China and Taiwan. Indonesian billet exports to China rose to 733,190 t in Jan-May’21 as against 288,850 t in Jan-May’20, up by over 150% year-on-year, as per customs data collated by SteelMint.
