Indonesia’s benchmark coal prices, also known as Harga Batubara Acuan (HBA), rose by $12/t m-o-m to $331/t in early-Oct’22. The price rise came amid strong winter restocking demand in Europe and other Asian countries. Tight supply conditions in Indonesia are also supporting prices. On a y-o-y basis, HBA prices rose by a whopping 105%.
