Indonesia: Adaro Energy sets sight on 58 MT coal output in CY20

Adaro Energy Tbk PT (IDX: ADRO), an Indonesian coal producer, said it expected to produce between 54 million ton (MT) to 58 MT of coal this year, Kontan newspaper reported citing Febriati Nadia, head of corporate communication of the company as saying.

The company produced 58.03 MT of coal last year, or increased 7 percent on year-on-year basis from the previous year. Last year’s coal production was more than company’s original target of producing between 54 MT and 56 MT of coal, said Mahardika Putranto, corporate secretary of the company in the statement in February.

Nadia said that Coronavirus outbreak had started to affect the operations of many Indonesian coal miners.

The company has said early this year that it had set aside between USD 300 million to USD 400 million as capital expenditure this year, Mahardika Putranto said in early February.

The company has yet to report its financial statement to local authorities.
