India’s imports of zinc semi-finish products stood at 19,150 t in Dec’23, up by 20% m-o-m compared against 15,911 t in Nov’23. Concurrently, there was a 30% surge in imports on a y-o-y basis from 14,724 t in Dec’22. India’s primary source of semi-finish majorly came from South Korea with 10,061 t, followed by 6,976 t from Japan and Myanmar with 1,199 t. JNPT led unloading with 8,516 t, followed by Kolkata and Chennai.
