Odisha retained the top spot among iron ore producing states in the country in the first 10 months of 2022 (10MCY22) posting total production at nearly 110 mnt – over 54% of the country’s total production. Although iron ore output fell by around 7 mnt compared with the same period last year, October production rose by 27% on the month to around 9.6 mnt from 7.5 mnt in September.
