India’s stainless steel scrap prices largely stable w-o-w

India’s domestic and imported scrap prices remained largely stable with minor fluctuation amid a 0.7% drop seen in LME nickel prices. As per BigMint’s assessment, SS 304 scrap stood at INR 123,000/t and that of SS 316- grade at INR 216,000/t, ex-Delhi, Meanwhile, prices of imported scrap were at $1,480/t for 304-grade scrap and $2,670/t for 316-grade, CFR Mundra. However, the ongoing vessel and container shortage in Southeast Asia may push scrap prices higher.
