India’s total sinter capacity in FY21 was at 93.06 mn t. From southern India, Karnataka contributed 21.51 mn t, Andhra Pradesh 9.75 mn t and Tamil Nadu 1.24 mn t. From central India, Chhattisgarh contributed 13.66 mn t while in the eastern region, Jharkhand’s share was 19.24 mn t, Odisha’s 14.62 mn t, and West Bengal offered 4.51 mn t.
From the western region, Maharashtra had a sinter capacity of 6.07 mn t, Gujarat 1.48 mn t and Goa 1 mn t.
