India’s pig iron production (FY’21-FY’25)

India’s pig iron production expanded by 71% to 8.33 million tonnes (mnt) in FY’25 from 4.88 mnt in FY’21. While established players such as SAIL and JSPL continued to ramp up output, new entrants such as Rungta, Shyam Sel, NMDC Nagarnar, and Evonith have also injected significant volumes into the market.
