Passenger vehicle sales in India in the month of Aug’20 rose by 14.16% y-o-y to 215,916 units as against 189,129 units in Aug’19, according to the recent data shared by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Passenger vehicle sales turned positive after consecutively declining for 9 months. Industry is positive that the coming festive season will pave the way for a faster revival of the industry, Mr Rajesh Menon, Director General, SIAM said.
