India’s non-coking coal imports drop 6% y-o-y in H1 FY’26

India’s imports of non-coking coal, used in the power and industrial sectors, decreased from over 91million tonnes (mnt) in April-September 2024 (H1FY’25) to 86.3 mnt in the same period of the current fiscal, a decrease of around 6% y-o-y, as per latest data with BigMint. Non-coking coal imports in FY’25 were around 169 mnt.
