India’s lignite production drops 6% y-o-y in Oct’22

India’s lignite production stood at 3.49 mnt in Oct’22, a decrease of 6% y-o-y. Production of by most of the miners fell y-o-y in Oct except Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation and Barmer Lignite Mining Company.The country’s total lignite production in Apr- Oct’22 grew marginally by 2% y-o-y to 25.35 mnt.
