India’s leading steelmaker, JSW Steel has completed acquisition of the Eastern India-based Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd (BPSL), the Chairman of JSW Steel Ltd, Sajjan Jindal informed today. BPSL has an installed steel-making capacity of 3.5 mn t pa. With this acquisition, JSW has entered the Eastern India market. The company aims to increase its crude steel capacity to 45 mn t pa by 2030.
