India’s imported copper prices rise even as bid-offer disparity prevails

Imported copper prices in India rose by 3.5% w-o-w . Copper motor scrap from the US rose by 0.4% to $1,145/t CFR Mundra, while Middle Eastern brass honey (4%) spiked $185/t to $5,485/t, up 3.5%. Absence of firm bids or offers was observed primarily due to a $300/t rise in the three-month LME contract prices, leading to bid-offer disparities. Nonetheless, some sellers extended tentative offers.
