Flat steel exports by India surged 26% to 12.42 mn t in CY’21 compared to 9.88 mn t a year ago, SteelMint data reveals. HRC/plates formed the largest chunk of exports at 6.41 mn t (down 10% y-o-y) followed by galvanised steel and CRC at 3.59 mn t (up 244%) and 1.06 mn t (up 114%). Belgium, Italy and Vietnam were the top export destinations.
