India’s coking coal production increases 5% y-o-y in Jan’23

India’s coking coal production was recorded at 5.76 mnt in Jan’23, a rise of 5% y-o-y. Coal India’s (CIL’s) share in total production was 5.16 mnt which was also higher by 4% y-o-y. Among CIL’s subsidiaries, BCCL produced 3 mnt, a decrease of 4% y-o-y. Meanwhile, CCL produced 2.12 mnt, up 16% y-o-y.
